George Lyman⁹ Whitney (Lyman⁸, James⁷, John⁶, James⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², [[Family:Whitney, John (1592-1673)|John¹]), son of Lyman⁸ and Mary (Leland) Whitney, was born 21 Aug 1848, Sherborn, MA,^[1] and died after 1880.

He married, 24 Nov 1872, Sherborn, MA, Martha A. Fleming. She was born 25 Feb 1849, and died after 1880.

He is a farmer and also conducts a large livery stable; resided South Framiningham, MA.

Children of George L.⁹ and Martha A. (Fleming) Whitney:

i.	Dudley B.10 Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1874; resided at home.
ii.	Bertha E. Whitney, b. 28 Sep 1881.
