Jonathan4 Whitney (Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan3 and Sarah (Hapgood) Whitney,[1] was born 25 Nov 1700, Watertown, MA,[2] baptized 3 Aug 1700, Watertown, MA,[3] and died after 11 Jul 1747.[4]

He never married.

On 11 May 1720 he "of Concord" was granted lot number 64 in Lunenburg, MA. On 19 Aug 1728, he was chosen fence viewer. On 5 Mar 1732/3, he was chosen hog reeve. On 1 Mar 1735/6 he was chosen constable.[5]

On 14 Mar 1735 he was mentioned as a son in the will of his father.[6]

In 1744 he was living in Lunenburg, MA.[7]

On 10 Oct 1746 he was one of his mother's heirs who made an agreement.[8]

On 31 Dec 1746 he signed a petition in Lunenburg, MA.[9]

On 11 Jul 1747 he was mentioned as an heir in the will of his brother Isaac Whitney.[10]
