Ebenezer6 Whitney (George5, Jason4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), born Natick, Massachusetts, 20 Dec 1820; married 21 Mar 1842, Sarah F. Leighton, of Westford, born Feb. 25, 1824. He was a shoe manufacturer and merchant. He died 2 May 1892; resided Danvers and Natick, Massachusetts.

Children of Ebenezer6 Whitney:

i. Emilie A.7 Whitney, born 12 Jan 1846; married 19 May 1869, James M. Forbush. He was born Roxbury, Massachusetts, 15 Mar 1846; resided Natick, Massachusetts. He was educated at the common schools, and in 1861 moved to Washington with his father's family. While there, was a clerk in the Treasury Department until 1867. After 1874 was in the Internal Revenue service in Massachusetts, and at present is in the insurance business in Natick. Is general agent for the New England States for the German American Ins. County, of New York. Is director in an insurance company, trustee of a savings bank, and superintendent of the Baptist Sunday School. (See Forbush Genealogy by Fred C. Pierce, p. 15.)
