John⁷ Whitney (Palmer⁶, Joseph⁵, Timothy⁴, John³, John², John¹), son of Palmer⁶ and Judith (Barber) Whitney; born Orange, Massachusetts, 18 Aug 1804; married at Wyoming, New York, 7 Dec 1826, Rachel Ward; died 1837; married 2d, 7 Feb 1839, Mariah Blood; born 28 Jun 1812, in Tompkins County, New York. He was a farmer. He died 21 Nov 1854; resided Wyoming, New York, Campton, Kane County, Illinois.

i.	Daniel8 Whitney, born 3 Jan 1840; married Altha Maria Babbitt.
ii.	Seymour Whitney, born 10 Sep 1827; married Sarepta Warren and Addie Ward.
