"Rev." Samuel Worcester7 Whitney (Samuel6, John5, John4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel6 and Mercy (Partridge) Whitney, was born 18 Mar 1822, Waimea, Kauai, Sandwich Islands, and died 13 Jul 1905, Philadelphia, PA.

He married firstly, 9 Jun 1853, Westport, NY, Catharine Eudocia Kent.

He married secondly, 21 Dec 1858, New Bedford, MA, Harriet Ellen Hitch. She was born 29 Dec 1832, New Bedford, MA.
