Samuel5 Whitney (Thomas4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Thomas4 and Mary (Baker) Whitney was born 22 Jul 1714 at Stow, MA[1] and died before 31 Oct 1748 at Stow, MA[2], his estate was probated 31 Oct 1748 at Stow, MA; inventory taken by Ebenzer Graves, Oliver Sheril[?], and Peter Graves; his estate was probated 31 Oct 1748 at Stow, MA; administration granted to widow Grace Whitney of Stow, with Peter Graves and David Ran[?] of Stow as sureties; his estate was probated 19 Dec 1763 at Stow, MA; administration granted to Josiah Houghton of Lancaster; mention is made of the widow Grace and "the children" on 29 Dec 1763.

Samuel married Grace (--?--) before 10 Dec 1742; first husband.

Grace (--?--) was born between about 1715-0-0 and 17 at Stow?, MA. Marriage banns for she and Josiah Houghton were published on 15 Nov 1755 at Lancaster, MA; husband "of Lancaster", wife "of Harvard." Marriage banns for she and Josiah Houghton were published on 22 Nov 1755 at Harvard, MA; husband "of Lancaster." She married Josiah Houghton on 6 Jan 1756 at Lancaster, MA. She died on 6 Jun 1763. She No marriage record in Stow, but husband born there and child Samuel born there. She was also known as Whitney.

i. Jemima6 Whitney, b. 10 Dec 1742.
ii. Samuel Whitney, b. 10 Sep 1745.
