Family:Lawrence, James (1705-1800)

James Lawrence (Nathaniel, Ruth³ Whitney, John², John¹), son of Nathaniel and Anna (Scripture) Lawrence, was born 26 Aug 1705, Groton, MA,^[1] and died 27 Jan 1800, Pepperell, MA, aged 96 years.^[2]

He married, 20 Feb 1732/3, Groton, MA, Mary Martin, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (-----) Martin. She was born 30 Apr 1713, Groton, MA, and died 1799, aged 77 years.

He was also known as Capt. James Lawrence.

On 22 Oct 1800, Pepperell, MA, administration on his estate was granted to his son Benjamin Lawrence.

i.	Mary Lawrence, b. 17 Mar 1734; m. Josiah Stevens, of Townsend.

iv.	Benjamin Lawrence, b. 19 Oct 1747; m. Sybil Parker, of Groton.
