Charles Miles and Samuel Hosmer were Chairmen, to serve in the Continental Army for the term of 3 years; also, descriptive list of men raised in Middlesex Co., agreeable to resolve of Dec. 2, 1780, as returned by Joseph Hosmer, Superintendent for said county; age, 17 yrs.; stature, 5 ft. 5 in.; complexion, dark; hair, dark; eyes, black; occupation, laborer (also given farmer); engaged for town of Concord; engaged Feb. 31 [?], also given Jan. 31, 1781; term, 3 years.

William Prescott's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to Cambridge; service, 9 days; reported enlisted into the army April 27, 1775; also, order dated Camp at Cambridge, June 24, 1775, signed by said Whitney, Lieutenant, for cartridge boxes for which he promised to be accountable; receipt [p.238] on reverse of order, signed by Noah Farrar, for said cartridge boxes, states that they were procured by said Whitney, Capt. Henry Farwell being ill; also, 1st Lieutenant, Capt. Henry Farwell's (1st) co., Col. William Prescott's (10th) regt.; muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775; engaged April 25, 1775; service, 98 days; also, company return [probably Oct., 1775].
