(Benedict) Dickens.1 She was born in Ridgefield, 26 Feb. 1796, and died in Ridgefield, 18 March 1859, aged 63 years, and 20 days. Her gravestone in Titicus Cemetery calls her Polly E., while her relatives say that she had no middle name. Their home was on West Mountain, in Ridgefield. He died in Darien, Conn., and was buried beside his wife, in Titicus Cemetery.

III. Clarissa Keeler, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 6 Dec. 1796; married Jeremiah Dauchy, a farmer; and settled in Ridgefield, where she died, 28 Sept. 1870, without children,. and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He was living at Ridgefield in Nov. .1874.

IV. Samuel Dauchy Keeler, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 29 Nov. 1799, though his wife's record says 27 May 1799; a mason; married, 8 March 1821, at her father's house in North Salem, N. Y., by Rev. Abraham Purdy, Presbyterian, to Sally Akely, who was born in Bedford, N. Y., 11 Ap. 1796, dau. of Obadiah and Sally (Griffin) Akely. They dwelt in New Fairfield, Conn., and in Bedford, N. Y.; and finally settled in Peaceable Street, Ridgefield, where she was still living in Jan. 1875. He went to Alberia, Mo., in Nov. 1872, to live with his son, Smith Keeler; and, while visiting his son, Albert Keeler, at Iola, ,Kansas, sickened on the evening of 13 Dec., died 16 Dec. 1874, and was buried in Iola City Cemetery.

VI. Hannah Keeler, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 23 March 1804; married Major Dickens, of Ridgefield, who was born 9 Feb. 1797. They dwelt, for a time, in Danbury, Conn., and, afterward, at Reading, Conn., where she died, 7 March 1853. She was buried in Titicus Cemetery, in Ridgefield, where her gravestone says that she died 8 March 1853," aged 49 years, 11 months, and 8 days," which indicates 31 March 1803 as the date of her birth. He died at Norwalk, Conn., 18 Sept. 1873, "aged 76 years, 7 months, and 9 days", and was buried near her, in Titicus Cemetery.

VII. Prua Keeler, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 18 June 1806, married, 18 Nov. 1828, at South Salem, N. Y., Daniel Hoyt, a farmer, born at Somers, N. Y., 27 Aug. 1806, son of Nehemiah and Betsey (Finney) Hoyt, of Bedford, N. Y. They dwelt at Ridgefield for twenty-two years, and then moved to South Hero, vt., one of the large islands in the northern part of Lake Champlain, where they were still living, in Jan. 1875.
