IV. Charlottte Maria Clarke, b. in Gaines, N. Y., 30 Jan. 1844; married, 9 Nov. 1864, in Chicago, Ill., by Rev. J. H. Trowbridge, Presbyterian, to James K. Lake, a contractor, who was born at Litchfield, Conn., in Nov. 1834. They lived at 109 Robey Street, Chicago, in 1868, when he was engaged in making the Washington Street Tunnel, under Chicago River.

Thomas Mott Whitney, b. at North East Harbor, Nova Scotia, 8 Nov. 1805; a fisherman and farmer; married, 29 Dec. 1829, at North East Harbor, Mary Buchanan King, dau. of Isaac and Martha (Perry) King, of North East Harbor, where she was born 7 Oct. 1808. They settled at North East Harbor, where she died, 1 Nov. 1872, and where he was still living, in Feb. 1874.

II. Sarah Whitney, b. at North East Harbor, Nova Scotia, 6 July 1808; married, 6 Feb. 1826, at Black Point, near North East Harbor, by Rev. George Miller, Wesleyan, to Edward Perry, a fisherman, who was born at Black point, 14 July 1804, son of Stephen and Margaret (Scudder) Perry. They settled at Black Point; and there he died, 25 Oct. 1845, and was buried at North East Harbor. She was living at Black Point in 1873.
