Seventh Generation.
They settled in New York City. She died, without children, at St. John, 22 Jan. 1860, and was buried in the cemetery of the Church of England. After her death, he removed to St. George's Island, Bermudas, where he was living in 1874.

2088 I. Barzillai Watson Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 9 Nov. 1806; a machinist and millwright; lived four years in Ithaca, N. Y., and three in Elmira, N. Y., and then spent about five years in Georgia and South Carolina, erecting and operating steam-mills; married, 28 Dec. 1869, in Russell Co., Alabama, Matilda Ann Sikes, born in Harris Co., Georgia, 16 July 1836, dau. of Alfred and Matilda (Vinson) Sikes, who afterward removed to Alabama. They were living in Whitesville, N. C., in July 1874, intending to remove, in a short time, to Opelika, Alabama. 6529
2089 II. Catharine Jane Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 20 Oct. 1808; married there, 2 Oct 1831, by Rev. Theophilus Smith, Congregational, to Stephen Fancher, a wheelwright, born in Poundridge, N. Y., 4 Nov. 1806, son of Jared and Polly (Bouton) Fancher. They settled in South Salem, N. Y., and in May 1838, removed to Cato, now Meridian, N. Y., where he was a farmer. He was elected sheriff of Cayuga County, in Nov. 1850, and died at Auburn, N. Y., just before the close of his term of office, 5 Dec. 1853, according to his gravestone in the Meridian Cemetery, which says, "aged 47 years, 1 month, and 1 day." She was living at Meridian, in 1874. 6531
2090 III. George Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 30 Sept. 1810; a farmer; married in Troy, N. Y., Harriet Fairweather, who was born in New Canaan, dau. of Stephen and Sally (Lockwood) Fairweather. They settled at Meridian, N. Y., where she died in May 1854, and was buried in Meridian Cemetery. He married (2d), Rosina Van Wie, widow of ----- Culver. They were living at Meridian, in 1874. 6534
2091 IV. Mary Esther Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 26 Jan. 1813; married there, as his second wife, 13 Dec. 1860, by Rev. Otis Saxton, pastor of the M. E. Church of Port Chester, N. Y., to Elias Bates Lockwood, of New Canaan, a farmer, born in New Canaan, 6 May 1812, son of Northrop and Phebe (Conklin) Lockwood. They were living at New Canaan, in 1874. She has no children.
2092 V. William Henry Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 13 Sept. 1815; a shoemaker; died unmarried, in New Canaan, 5 June 1839, and was buried in St. Mark's Cemetery.
