XII. Lucretia Whitney, b. in Sharon, now Shelby, Ohio, 8 Ap. 1836; married, 27 Dec. 1854, at her father's house in Shelby, Ohio, by Rev. Mr. Hager, Methodist, to Samuel Pierson Bloomfield, a farmer, born in Addison, Vt., 21 March 1829, son of Archibald and Sally (Chellis) Bloomfield, who lived in Stockton, N.Y., at the time of his marriage. They settled at Stockton, where she ws living in 1873, a widow. He enlisted, 11 Aug. 1862, in Co. G, 112th Reg., N.Y.S.V. Infantry; sickened at Fortress Monroe, Va., and died there, 1 Oct. 1863.

I. John Goodrich Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., corner of Van Schaick and Pearl Streets, 28 Sept. 1816; a repairer of watches and watch-cases; married, 30 June 1839, in Norwalk, Conn., by Rev. Edwin Hall, Congregational, to Rebecca Weeks, born 30 Aug. 1817, dau. of William and Polly (Seymour) Weeks. She died in Albany, 11 Ap. 1844, and was buried in Albany, and afterward removed to Norwalk Cemetery, Norwalk, Conn. He married (2nd), 4 Jan. 1853, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Christina Menzies, born at Inverness, Scotland, 23 Feb. 1826, dau. of William and Annie (Grant) Menzies. He lived for one year in Philadelphia, Penn.; five years in Albany, N.Y.; twenty years in New York and Brooklyn; and moved to Hackensack, N.J., 18 Ap. 1866, where he was living at the corner of Union and Passaic streets, in Jan. 1876, his place of business being at 64 Nassau Street, New York City.
