V. Theodore Clay Hartwell, b. at Toulmainville, Ala., 24 Dec. 1845; married at Mobile, Ala., 5 Dec. 1867, by Rev. Father O'Mara, Roman Catholic, to Mary Elizabeth Amelia White, dau. of John and Dora (Ashton) White, of Mobile. They settled in Mobile, and were living there in Aug. 1874. He served in the Confederate Cavalry, under Gen. Forest, during the whole war of 1861.

VI. Cornelia Jane Hartwell, b. at Toulmainville, Ala., 13 March 1847; married in the Government Street Church, Mobile, Ala., 17 Feb. 1868, by Rev. Mr. Burgett, to David Ham Pritchard, son of David Hambleton and Jane Hayden (Ham) Pritchard. They settled in Mobile, and were living there in Aug. 1874. He served in the Confederate Navy, as first engineer of the Owl, under Capt. John M. Maffitt.
