Charles Harlow9 Whitney (John Dudley8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of John Dudley and Elizabeth (Doughty) Whitney, was born 26 Sep 1851, Acton, MA,[1] and died after 1920, probably Somerville, MA.

He married firstly, 9 Aug 1871, Watertown or Winchester, MA, Lydia Ann Adams, both of Winchester, daughter of John D. and Harriet W. (Doughty) Adams.[2] She was born 23 Dec 1850, Fitchburg, MA,[3] and died 23 Feb 1885, Danvers, MA, aged 34 years, of general paralysis.[4] Her mother was a daughter of David William and Rebecca Pollock8 (Whitney) Doughty, and granddaughter of Jonathan7 and Lucy (Parks) Whitney. She was also a great-granddaughter of John and Elizabeth (Ross) Doughty, parents of Elizabeth Doughty, wife of John Dudley8 Whitney, Rebecca's brother, so they share both Whitney and Doughty ancestry.

He married secondly, 16 Jun 1885, Boston, MA, Mabel Cecilia Langill, daughter of George and Margaret (-----) Langill.[5] She was born about 1860, Nova Scotia, and died after 1920, probably Somerville, MA.

Children of Charles Harlow9 and Lydia (Adams) Whitney, if any, unknown.

Charles Harlow9 and Mabel Cecilia (Langill) Whitney had no children.
