Daniel Austin8 Whitney (Daniel7, Elijah6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Daniel7 and Nancy B. (Newton) Whitney, was born 20 Apr 1835, Westborough, MA,[1] and died 18 Jan 1906, Worcester, MA, aged 70 years 8 months 29 days, of valvular disease of heart.[2]

He "Mr." "of Westborough, Massachusetts" married, 16 Oct 1864, Dover-Foxcroft, ME, "Miss" Louisa Augusta Woodbury "of Dover",[3] daughter of John S. and Abbey W. (Prescott) Woodbury. She was born 24 Jun 1842, Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and died after 1900.

He resided Worcester, MA.

iii. Abbie Lovena Whitney, b. 23 Jul 1873, Grafton MA;[7] d. 12 Feb 1905, Worcester, MA, aged 31 years 5 months 20 days, of vomiting of pregnancy;[8] m. 24 Jun 1903, Worcester, MA, George Manning Hardy, b. ca. 1874, Worcester, MA, son of George H. and Sarah E. (Manning) Hardy.[9]
iv. Eva Luella Whitney, b. 7 Oct 1879, Worcester, MA;[10] d. 30 Jul 1880, Worcester, MA, aged 9 months 23 days, of meningitis.[11]
