George Henry⁸ Whitney (Justin⁷, Salmon⁶, Jonas⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Justin⁷ and Mary Cushing (Cotton) Whitney, was born 18 Jul 1839, Harvard, MA.^[1]

He married, 2 Jul 1870, Worcester, MA, Sarah C. Gould, daughter of Moses and Susan W. (Boswell) Gould.^[2] She was born 21 Oct 1840, Bolton, MA, and died 14 Aug 1909, Worcester, MA, aged 69 years 9 months 24 days, of nephritis.^[3]

At marriage he was an engineer. He is a druggist; s. p.; res. Jefferson, MA, and Ontario, CA.
