Pliny Walker8 Whitney (Samuel B.7, James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Samuel B.7 and Sophia (Walker) Whitney, was born about 1847, Canada East, and died 17 Jan 1906, Southbridge, MA, aged 58 years 5 months, of apoplectic shock.[1]
He married, 2 or 3 Sep 1875, Southbridge or Worcester, MA, Mary Amanda Horton, daughter of Levi and Laney/Laura (Durfey) Horton.[2] She was born about Sep 1839, Southbridge or Sturbridge, MA, and died 16 Mar 1910, Southbridge, MA, aged 60 years 6 months, of pulmonary tuberculosis.[3]
He was an optician.

Notes
Jennie was apparently born before the marriage of Pliny and Mary. She may have been by an otherwise unknown earlier wife, or adopted, or possibly a daughter of Mary born out of wedlock.
