I am Mary Whitney (Born in FooChow China) Smith's granddaughter. (She was Mema to me.) Her father was Dr. Henry Thomas Whitney. She was married to Frank Smith of Lodi, California. The Frank Smith family are direct descendants of William Brandford who came over on the Mayflower. I have Mary Whitney Smith's family bible. She had six children: Horace Manning, Henry Whitney, Maurice (Bud), Maurine, Sally Lou, and George Edward Smith. My mother Lillian Mae Hodges married George July 17, 1946. Bud Smith was MIA in the Pacific Theater flying a P38 and found a few years ago. Just recently found your site.
