My name is Nancy Jean (Whitney) Landon. I am the daughter of John William Whitney and W. Ruth (Warwick) Whitney.

I am an only child of this marriage. My parents were married June 13, 1937 at Davenport, WA by a Justice of the Peace at the Lincoln Co. Courthouse. My parents were divorced about 1952/53 at Davenport WA. On Dec. 11, 1957 my mother married Delmar L. De Vore at Davenport WA. They had a son David Alan De Vore. My half-brother lives at Davenport. My father's parents were Ralph D. Whitney and Martha Emma (Schlichting) Whitney. They had three sons: Kenneth Dallas Whitney 1908, Donald Claire Whitney 1910 and John William Whitney 1912. All were born at Davenport, Lincoln Co, Washington. My great grandparents were John Dallas Whitney and Angie (Woodin) Whitney. They had two children: Ralph Dallas and Helen, who married Henry Vilwock. Of the ancestors mentioned here, nearly all are buried at Davenport Cemetery: John William, Ralph Dallas, Kenneth Dallas, Donald Claire, and Angie (Woodin) Whitney. Martha Emma (Schlichting) Whitney is buried at Walla Walla, Washington.
