Joseph A.9 Whitney (Joseph H.8, Zachariah7, Zachariah6, Zachariah5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Joseph H.8 and Eliza (Derby) Whitney, was born 9 Dec 1831, Lunenburg, MA, and died 21 Dec 1899, Athol, MA, aged 69 years 11 days, of apoplexy.[1]
He married, 27 Mar 1856, Leominster, MA, Elizabeth S. Blanchard, daughter of Hiram and Louisa (Stowell) Blanchard.[2] She was born 4 Feb 1832, Barnstead, QC, and died 17 Dec 1909, Athol, MA, aged 77 years 10 months 13 days, of apoplexy.[3]
