Jacob7 Whitney (Ezra6, Ezra5, John4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Ezra6 and Sally (Hooker) Whitney, was born 21 Aug 1796, Rockingham Township, Windham County, VT.

He married, sometime before 1830, Teresa -----. She was born about 1807, NY.

He moved with his parents and siblings from the family home in Vermont to Allegany County, NY, in 1817.

In 1820 he was listed as being engaged in agriculture.

In 1830, Jacob Whitney and his family were enumerated in Burns Township, Allegany Co, NY. The family consisted of 1 male 30-40 [Jacob], 1 male 20-30 [crossed out??], and 1 female 20-30 [Tressa].

In 1840, Jacob Whitney and his family were enumerated in Burns Township, Allegany Co, NY. The family consisted of 1 male 40-50 [Jacob], 1 female 30-40 [Tressa], 1 female 5-10 [Marion], and 1 female 0-5 [Hellen]. Two people were engaged in agriculture.
