The same source gives Jacob's death date as 23 Oct 1870. She could be the Thirza Gillet, b. ca. 1805, NY, daughter of Jonathan and Thirza Olivilla (Clark) Gillet, of Cicero, NY.

Marion Braidfoot, Helen Mar, William Wallace, and Edwin Ruthven were characters from the romantic novel The Scottish Chiefs (1809), by Jane Porter.
