He married before 1856, Hannah Chase. She was born about 1831, Maine, and died 1871, Brooklyn, NY.

He resided Brooklyn, NY, and Boston, MA.

ii.	Willie Francis Whitney, b. ca. 1858, MA; is a member of the Third Artillery at San Antonio, TX.
iii.	Annie Whitney, b. 24 Jan 1865, NY; m. 28 Jul 1883, Herbert L. Browning; resided East Templeton, MA. He was b. 1858; is a farmer. Ch.: Lorena May, b. 1884; Alice Emma, b. 1886.
iv.	Emma E. Whitney, b. ca. 1866, NY; m. ----- Mason; resided East Templeton, MA.
