Milton W.8 Whitney (Asa Watrous7, Milton6, Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Asa Watrous7 and Mary Ann (Wightman) Whitney, was born 18 Aug 1839, Pittsfield, OH, and died 1 Oct 1900, Susanville, Lassen Co., CA, aged 74 years.[1]
He married first, 4 Dec 1862, Oberlin, OH, Susan L. Ware, daughter of Manning and Mary I. (-----) Ware. She was born 2 Aug 1841, [probably Castleton,] VT, and died 8 Oct 1916, San Francisco, CA. They were divorced before 1897.
He married second, 29 Aug 1897, Lassen Co., CA, Nellie B. Hoagland,[2] daughter of Henry L. and Louisa (Shaw) Hoagland. She was born Mar 1877, CA. She married secondly, William Wiseman, of Westwood, CA.
He is a carpenter and blacksmith; resided Alta, CA.
