In July, 1832, he moved to Port Carbon, Pennsylvania, and was cashier of the branch of the bank there until 1840, when he went to a farm near Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, and thence to Pottsville, in 1845, where he died. He died Sept. 7, 1849: resided Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

Lebbeus6 Whitney (James Rex5, Caleb4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of James Rex5 and Mary (Holland) Whitney, was born 8 Oct 1785, Hillsboro, NC, and died 7 Sep 1849, Pottsville, PA.

He married, 1808, Elizabeth Ford. She was born 9 Aug 1786, Philadelphia, PA, and died 3 Feb 1873.

His parents emigrated from New York to Georgia, in 1785, and while on their way thither he was born at Hillsboro, NC.
