Arthur Whitney, parentage unknown, born say 1560, died after 1589.

He "Artar" married, 30 Dec 1583, Rye, Sussex, Vorseley Marchall (probably Ursula).[1]

In Jan 1581/82, Arthur Whitney was fined at an inquest at Rye for "annoying the way" (blocking the street).

On 2 Mar 1584 he served as a juror in the coroner's inquest concerning the murder of Thomas Evans of Rye, berebrewer.

He was probably related in some way to the William Whitney who served as a juror 8 Jun 1589 in the coroner's inquest into the death of William Nickerson, who had fallen from a cliff.
