He married, first, Mary Pritchard. Mary Whitney, of "Trilay", Llangwm, died 17 Mar 1841, age 60.

He married, second, 11th April 1847 (Llanvaches), Hannah James. She was born circa 1808, Llanbaddoc, Monmouthshire, Wales.

In 1841, he was listed as a farmer, residing at "Terlay" in Llangwm.

In 1851, he was listed as a "farmer of 45 acres", residing at "Tyrlay" in Llangwm.
