Nicholas^A Whitney (Benjamin^B, Thomas^C) son of Benjamin^B and Mary (King) Whitney, was born say 1725, and died before 4 Nov 1794, when will proved.

He married, 19 May 1750, by license, Catherine Gore, daughter of Nicholas Gore, of Tulleyanna, co. Wexford.

He resided Old Ross.

His will, dated 10 Dec 1771, was proved 4 Nov 1794.

i.	Nicholas Whitney, of Old Ross; d. bef. administration, 28 Jun 1785; m. Alithea Whitney, dau. of Thomas Whitney, of Bush Park, d. 1 Oct 1835. She m.(2) Thomas Whitney of Merton. a. Nicholas Whitney, Lieut. 16th Regt., d. unm. 1810. Will dated 2 Nov., 1808, proved 20 Dec. 1820.
ii.	Thomas1 Whitney, b. 1765; m. Martha Whitney.
iii.	Benjamin Whitney, of Castleview, Old Ross, b. 1766; m. 29 Apr 1801, Alicia Kough, dau. of Thomas Kough, of New Ross. She d. 5 Dec 1825, aged 45. He d. 24 Apr 1852, having had issue, five sons and three daus. His eldest son, a. Nicholas Whitney, bapt. 13 Mar 1805; m. 21 March, 1833, Mary Gese, dau. of Thomas Jones. She d. 20 March, 1895, aged 85. He d.v.p. and was bur. at Old Ross, 8 March, 1834, having had an only child, 1. Benjamin Whitney (Sir), living 1863. b-h. Two more sons and five daughters.
