- Sale of Estate made October 16, 1834. Buyers were William Walker, Jesse Youngblood, Rachel Youngblood, Edmond Stringfield, Hardy Wall, Reason Woolley, Rachel Whitney
- On September 22, 1834 the petition of Rachel Whitney sheweth that she come to the conclusion to break up housekeeping, and live with one of her sons in law, on account of her age and infirmity she cannot well live by her self.
The family grouping for Malcom and Rachel Whitney, as seen on the 1820 Census, may represent daughters and/or grandchildren or acquired children from deceased family members. Further research is required to determine the exact relationships of the members as listed:

| daughter Whitney, b. 1794-1804.
|-
| align=right valign=top | ii.

Malcom Whitney did not specifically name any of his sons in law or daughters in his will. Rachael Whitney did not re-marry so the property was never divided equally between the children and his widow.
The following list of children was inferred from private family records, later deeds for Malcom Whitney's known properties, and the close proximity of the family members to Rachael Whitney in later years:
|- | align=right valign=top | ?. | Martha Whitney, m. Unknown Red 15 January 1825 Brother Malcom Whitney made application for a letter of Dismission from this Church and one also for his daughter Martha Red Both Granted. [6] |- | align=right valign=top | ?. | Matilda Whitney, m. Wyley Burkhalter, b. ca. 1816.[7] Matilda was probably one of the daughters listed above, but because we don't yet know her age, we can't assign her a position in the list. |- | align=right valign=top | ?. | Emily Whitney, m. Hardy Wall.[8] Emily was probably one of the daughters listed above, but because we don't yet know her age, we can't assign her a position in the list. |- | align=right valign=top | ?. | daughter Whitney, m. Reason Woolley.[9] This daughter was probably one of the daughters listed above, but because we don't yet know her age, we can't assign her a position in the list. |- | align=right valign=top | ?.
