Augustus⁸ Whitney (Hiram⁷, Daniel⁶, James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Hiram⁷ and Arvilla (Herrick) Whitney, was born 22 Mar 1842, Plymouth, VT, or 21 Apr 1842, Plymouth, VT,^[1] and died 27 Oct 1922. He was buried in Scranton Road Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.^[2]

He married, 19 Mar 1864, Toledo, OH, Mary E. Bergstresser. She was born 25 Apr 1843, and died after 1900.

He is a painter and paper hanger; resided Fremont, OH.
