James Voak7 Whitney (Jesse6, Isaac5, Jason4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jesse6 and Eliza C. (Shepherd) Whitney, was born 4 Jan 1839, Macomb, MI.
He married, 20 May 1867, Mary Elizabeth Taylor. She was born 22 Feb 1848.
He served in the late war in a Michigan regiment; resided Grand Rapids, MI; 26 Page St.
