Minerva Belle Whitney (John Drury, Ebenezer, Micah, Abel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, John), was born 02 11 1872, Freeman, Franklin Co., Maine, and died 04 28 1928, Bangor, Penobscot Co., Maine.
She married 12 31 1895, Franklin, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts, Henry Norton Foster Marshall, son of Foster and Frances (Bigelow) Marshall. He was born 07 10 1839, Clinton, Vermillion Co., Indiana, and died 10 27 1913, Newton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.
From George Burbank Sedgeley's Micah Whitney genealogy: Minerva Marshall was a missionary, appointed by the General Board of the Nazarene Church, for about five years to Swaziland, South Africa among the Swazi and Zulu people. She was a licensed minister under the New England District of the Church of the Nazarene for fourteen years. Also a teacher of vocal music to the young people of Piggs Peak and Indingeni, Swaziland, and translated a Nazarene Hymnal in Lula language for the Abantus. Thousands of copies were sent to Africa from the Nazarene Publishing House in Kansas City, Missouri. She lives in Franklin, Massachusetts.
