Gilman H.7 Whitney (Alexander6, Alexander5, Eleazer4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Alexander6 and Lydia (Foster) Whitney, was born 30 Nov 1819, Henniker, NH.

He "of New London, N.H." married, 16 Nov 1848, Lowell, MA, Sarah Jane Durgan "of Lowell".[1] She was born 31 May 1825.

He was a farmer; resided New London, NH.

Children of Gilman H.7 and Sarah Jane (Durgan) Whitney:

i. Burke M.8 Whitney, b. 26 Oct 1849; resided New London; unmarried
ii. Walter G. Whitney, b. 23 Jun 1852; d. 6 Aug 1854.
iii. Frank Scott Whitney, b. 4 Aug 1855; d. 19 Aug 1856.
iv. Walter Frank Whitney, b. 9 May 1859; d. 27 Dec 1863.
