Clarence8 Whitney (Simon7, Nathaniel Ruggles6, Simon5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Simon7 and Mary (Walker) Whitney, was born 1 Jan 1838,[1] Framingham, MA,[2] and died 6 Jan 1881.

He married, 22 Aug 1862, Dorchester, MA, Julia A. Tilson, daughter of Josiah and Julia Ann (Sampson) Tilson, of Kingston, MA. She was born 4 Apr 1841,[3] Kingston, MA, and died 31 Jul 1897, Boston, MA, aged 56 years 3 months 27 days, of cancer of the lung.[4]

Julia A. Tilson was a Mayflower descendant from Isaac Allerton (twice), John Billington, William Brewster (twice), Francis Cooke, Samuel Fuller, Stephen Hopkins, William Mullins (three times), Digory Priest, Henry Sampson, Myles Standish, Richard Warren (three times), and Edward Winslow.

i. Abbie W.9 Whitney, b. 10 Aug 1867, MA; d. 2 Jan 1871, MA.
ii. Hattie Whitney, b. 26 Feb 1872, MA; d. 14 Jul 1881.
