Mary Whitney (Joshua Whitney2, John Whitney1), daughter of Joshua2 and Abigail (Tarbell) Whitney,[1] was born 1 Jul 1675, Groton, MA,[2] and died 29 Dec 1749, Groton, MA in her 75th year.[3]
She married about 1695, probably Groton, MA, Ephraim Pierce,[4] son of Daniel and Elizabeth (-----) Pierce.[5] He was born 15 Oct 1673, Groton, MA,[6] and died 27 Feb 1740/1, Groton, MA, in his 68th year.[7]
On 17 Apr 1713, the will of her father mentions "my five daughters now living, Mary Peirce, ..."[8]
"Ephraim was one of the first settlers in Lunenburg. He was one of the first selectmen in 1728."[9]
"Ephraim Peirce was one of the first settlers in Lunenburg, and in the first division of land there he was assigned lot number sixty-eight. He was chosen one of the first selectmen of the town in 1728."
