Stephen6 Whitney (Josiah5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Josiah5 and Sarah (Farr) Whitney, was born 1 May 1757, Harvard, MA,[1] and died after 1810, Lynn, MA.
He married firstly, 6 Feb 1783, Persis Locke, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Ayers) Locke. She was born 1757, Shutesbury, MA, and died 22 Jun 1806, Deerfield, MA, aged 49 years.[2]
He, of Hadley, married secondly, 24 Mar 1809, Sterling, MA, Cathy Brown of Sterling, MA.[3]
