Thomas G.6 Whitney (Samuel5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Samuel5 and Mary (Aston) Whitney, was born about 1781, ME, and died 21 Jul 1861, West Gardiner, ME, aged 80 years.

He married firstly, 9 Mar 1802, Bath, ME, Abiah Starbord.

He married firstly, 6 Sep 1804, Bath, ME, Sarah Beal.

He married thirdly, before 1850, Mrs. Thornton. Apparently she was the wife Sarah in the 1850 census, who was born about 1779, ME.

Pierce calls him "Thomas E. Whitney".

He resided Hallowell, Maine. On 22 Aug 1849, he gave a supporting deposition in the application of his sister-in-law Mehitable (Robinson) Whitney for a pension based on the Revolutionary War service of his brother Ebenezer6 Whitney.
