Josiah S.⁶ Whitney (Jacob⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jacob⁵ and Hannah (Mills) Whitney, was born 1 Aug 1807, Phillips, ME, and died after 1880.

He married, 20 Apr 1833, Delton, Sauk Co., WI, Martha Barker. She died before 1880.

In 1875 he resided in Chippewa Falls, WI.
