Charles Louis Whitney (John Drury, Ebenezer, Micah, Abel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, John), was born 02 09 1874, Freeman, Franklin Co., Maine, and died 10 08 1949, Dedham, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts.

He married 11 03 1896, Hyde Park, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, Florence Jessie Gibson, daughter of William M. and Ellen M. (Phinney) Gibson. She was born 03 28 1878, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and died 12 28 1951, Dedham, Massachusetts.

Charles was a clerk in the Adams and American Express Co. in Hyde Park, MA. He retired from there after 48 years of service. He also played first trumpet in the 110th Cavalry Band (mounted)of Boston. This was a US Army Reserve unit, and the only mounted band in the country at that time. Florence immigrated from New Brunswick, Canada in 1888 and became a naturalized citizen of the US in 1896. Charles and Florence are buried in the Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham, Massachusetts.

iv. Grace Louella Whitney, b. 12 06 1908, Hyde Park, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, d. 03 08 1996, Cumming, Forsyth Co., Georgia.
v. Louis Irwin Whitney, b. 12 09 1915, Hyde Park, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, d. 12 27 1985, Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.
