Charles Hammond⁸ Whitney (Micah⁷, James⁶, Ezra⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Micah⁷ and Diantha (Walker) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1838, Thompson, CT, and died 17 Jun 1878, Dudley, MA.

He married, 2 Dec 1859 (or 7 Dec 1858), Dudley Hill, MA, Lydia A. Perry, both of Thompson, CT,^[1] daughter of Josiah and Lucy (Chaffee) Perry. She was born 27 Aug 1838, and died 26 Dec 1894.

He was an innkeeper. He resided Webster, MA.
