Alfred8 Whitney (Richard7, James6, Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard7 and Sally (Turner) Whitney, was born 19 May 1813, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 29 Jun 1873, Boston, MA, aged 63 years 1 month 10 days, of Bright's disease.[2]

He "of Boston" married, 1 Dec 1836, Manchester, MA, Ann H. Goldsmith,[3] daughter of Nehemiah and Elizabeth (-----) Goldsmith. She was born about 27 Jan 1814, Manchester, MA, and died 31 Jul 1883, Bedford, MA, aged 69 years 6 months 4 days, of Bright's disease.[4]
