James A. Whitney (Ephraim Crocker, Ephraim), was born 11 25 1853, Marshfield, ME.
He married 07 13 1895, Westbrook, ME, Clara E. Holmes, daughter of William L. and Lydia R. (Foss) Holmes. She was born 02 19 1858, Marshfield, ME, and died 03 19 1914, Westbrook, ME.
In the 1920 Census, James resided with his son Edward in Hiram, ME.
