Milton W.⁸ Whitney (Asa Watrous⁷, Milton⁶, Asa⁵, Joshua⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of Asa Watrous⁷ and Mary Ann (Wightman) Whitney, was born 18 Aug 1839, Pittsfield, OH, and died 1 Oct 1900, Susanville, Lassen Co., CA, aged 74 years.^[1]

He married first, 4 Dec 1862, Oberlin, OH, Susan L. Ware. She was born 2 Aug 1841.

He married second, 29 August 1897, Lassen Co., CA, Nellie B. Hoagland.^[2] She was born Mar 1877, CA.

He is a carpenter and blacksmith; resided Alta, CA.
