Charles Hale was a farmer and soldier. He was a Private in Co. E., 16th Maine Infantry. Both he and Mary received a pension for Civil War.
Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Whitney) Hale are buried in the South Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, ME.
