Thomas G.⁶ Whitney (Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Samuel⁵ and Mary (Aston) Whitney, was born -----.

He married firstly, ----- -----.

He married secondly, Mrs. Thornton.

Pierce calls him "Thomas E. Whitney".

He resided Hallowell, Maine. On 22 Aug 1849, he gave a supporting deposition in the application of his sister-in-law Mehitable (Robinson) Whitney for a pension based on the Revolutionary War service of his brother Ebenezer⁶ Whitney.
