Ezra A.⁸ Whitney (Jasper⁷, Ami⁶, Jonathan⁵, Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jasper⁷ and Elizabeth (Gunwer) Whitney; born Seneca County, Ohio, 12 Aug 1840; married at Fostoria, Ohio, 12 Nov 1866, Mary E. Decker, born 14 May 1846; resided Takoma and Puyallup, Washington Territory.

Children of Ezra A.⁸ and Mary E. (Decker) Whitney:

i.	Alva D.9 Whitney, born 15 Dec 1867; unm; resided Takoma.
ii.	Nettie M. Whitney, born 18 Jun 1869; teacher; unmarried; resided at home.
iii.	O---- C. Whitney, born 29 Dec 1870; school principal; unmarried; resided at home.
