William Ayers⁸ Whitney (Moses⁷, Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Moses⁷ and Bernice (Locke) Whitney; born 20 Jan 1790, Marlboro, VT, and died 2 Aug 1872.

He married, 28 Sep 1813, Cynthia Merrill, of Rowe. She was born 18 Mar 1786, Rowe, MA, and died 13 Mar 1853.

He resided Milford, PA, Rowe, MA, and Shelburne Falls, MA.
