Warwick, Mass., Sept. 12, 1808; m. at Charleston, Ill., Elizabeth S. Morton. He was born in Warwick, Mass., the only son of Lemuel and Sally (PRATT) WHITNEY, and in his youth resided in Ohio. With his parents he moved to Charles- ton, Coles Co., Ill., where he was married. He wa a merchant engaged in general business, and died when 42 years of age. He d.
