On 2 Sep 1890 from Blue Earth Co., MN, Constant H. Whitney signed a Declaration for Invalid Pension. He was sixty-six years old, and a resident of Mapleton, Blue Earth Co., MN. He had enrolled 8 Mar 1865 in Co. C, 1st Minnesota Volunteers, as a Private. Was honorably discharged at Harewood Hospital, Washington, DC, on 6 Jun 1865. He is now totally disabled by reason of old age, piles, rheumatism, and nervousness.
On 4 Apr 1906 the Commissioner of Pensions was informed that Constant H. Whitney was last paid at twelve dollars per month to Jan 1906, and was dropped because of his death on 20 Jan 1906.
