III. Henry Whitney, b. in Kirkersville, Ohio, 9 Ap. 1840; a farmer; married, 30 Nov. 1865, Eliza Ann Duckworth, whose mother then lived in Bloomfield township, Ohio. She was born in Concord township, Ohio, 4 Sept. 1845, dau. of Christian Stephen and Elizabeth (Jenkins) Duckworth. He served for fifteen months in the Union Army, during the war of 1861; and has since lived in Bloomfield, Ohio.
